The first year of the Ellis Future Jewelry Designers Contest. Open to all Cabarrus County Public Schoolers in grades 3-12, this yearly competition celebrates the incredible talent and creativity of our local students. At no cost to the schools, it’s a great opportunity to keep kids engaged in the arts. The contest is still going strong to this day!
As part of our remodeling we removed the aluminum siding from the storefront to reveal the gorgeous 100 year old brick work.
Here’s Dan standing in our old street windows. After 59 years it was time for the showcase windows to go to that we could push the front of the store forward and enlarge our space.

The Ellis Future Jewelry Designers Contest celebrates its tenth year running!
The Ellis team works on another remodel in anticipation of the store’s 70th Anniversary. The store is repainted inside and out, new wall lighting and backlit graphics are installed, and a new awning goes up.
